Aujourd’hui le 26 octobre, c’est Kurban
Bajram, (Aïd en arabe je crois) une des fêtes des plus importantes de l’année
pour les musulmans. Festins et visites familiales. C’est donc jour de congé
pour moi. Je n’aurai malheureusement pas la chance d’y assister, j’en profite

A mi-chemin, l’improbable se produit ; on a perdu Caroline qui était pourtant dans le peloton de tête ! Avec Nathalie, on fait demi-tour, on redescend, on reprend le sentier, on crie, ça fait de l’écho mais pas de réponses, de longues minutes se passent, on la cherche et on finit par jeter des coups d’œil dans les ravins. ... Lyncestis. Bitola is an interesting place, with its pedestrian zone a little reminiscent of Plovdiv in Bulgaria. The contrast between its old Ottoman town, the Stara Carsija, and the more modern centre is almost like a poor man's version of Sarajevo - almost, but not quite, as Sarajevo's old town is a phenomenal sight.
