Today was a travel day. We left Bastogne, Belgium at 8:30 this morning to drive to Fussen, Germany. We decided to stop at the Luxembourg American Cemetery to visit Patton's grave. We had the whole cemetery to ourself for just about our whole visit. It was very beautiful, and peaceful till the buses started to roll in. Time to leave. The rest of the day was pretty boring, and ...
... to see these people sitting in the same restaurant. Veterans are clearly loved here. Lunch was clearly the best part of the day. Very hot and noisy, we were not brave enough to cycle. We had a look at the shops, centre square,
Patten Memorial, Sherman Tank, lots of people, motorbikes racing around and
then slogged our way back again. We
passed an Aldi, a Carrefour and a Delhaize, either closed or did not sell fresh
milk so we ...
