    ... car behind us. After getting his information we turned the car back on and the radio seamlessly queued up the chorus from "You had a bad day." As timing it was perfect, as foreshadowing it wasn't accurate. Not only did we have a GREAT day, but Claire passed her final exam at Hertz with flying colors.     French, German, French. This region has been claimed by both countries over many centuries. The drive from Amnecy to Colmar takes about 4.5 hours (along toll roads, a not insignificant expense...more on these later).     Our shore excursion on this final day took us to the Black Forest in Germany. It was a 90 minute coach ride from our dock in Breisach to the Forest. We enjoyed a picturesque drive through countryside and small villages. The most interesting thing we passed was a 500 year-old Low German house with a thatched roof.
