... 2014. I have said that this is not a vacation. Portions of it have been so, for sure, but the fact is is that the type of travel we are involved in is exhausting.

Jennifer has been a wiener of late, in that, this has been the most complicated and least planned portion of our trip. Stress, exhaustion, worrying about clean clothes, food, directions, map reading, schoolwork, and the like have made her a wiener. It is time for a break.

    We miss you.

    Thanks for watching my blog,

    Jacques

Part of the town is called little Venice, the narrow canals run around the tall timbered buildings, on Tanners street the houses were 7 stories high with open balconies on the top floor for drying the hides. A canal runs along the front if the houses to supply water for tanning. Close by there was ornate market hall. The main canal was wider and very picturesque, you could take a half hour trip, the ...

The medieval towns of Ribeauville and Riquewihr were our destinations today. These very quaint towns are about 1.5hrs from Haselbourg and were recommended as worth the visit by a number of people we met over the last week and we were not disappointed. The towns are very close to each other so it was quite easy to spend a few hours in each town and still have time to explore other villages in the area. Both towns are full of half timbered homes ...
