    ... for company. Above the fir trees sit patient clouds, though they weren't so patient when we arrived. Nice weather for...the beautifully coloured ducks that just skimmed across the top of the water in front of me. Two hours ago it was ******* down but now the sun shines brightly. Then we went home to issenheim and made new friends called celestin and melusine. The next day we went to Ueropa-park, a theme park.     ... lunch we decide to eat in tonight with selection of local charcouterie. Guy thinks he is in heaven! The local cheese is superb. I can't stop eating the goats' cheese.

  • Woken up by sound heavy rain but it soon clears. Is Sunday and town is full of tourists already so decide to walk to next village, about 4 kms away, where the famous stork park is situated. Set off up steep hill, very humid after the rain, I wonder if I am going to make it but it soon flattens ...
