      This morning we did the Rick Steves walking tour of Colmar. It is such a charming place. There is a fantastic and huge market place with fresh meats, fish, cheeses, sweets, and other "produits de Alsace". We enjoyed it. Then we decided to take the car to a couple more nearby villages, Eguisheim and Turckheim. Eguisheim was recently voted one of "the most beautiful villages in France". It was certainly charming!       ... wonderful, creamy fat of the foie Gras. It was YUMMO!!! We then had a small piece of cooked sea bass on Israeli cous cous with confit of red onion and served with a mustard emulsion.

      A cool day with on and off drizzle. Time to move on from the Meuse and
      head towards the Vosges and the National Parks of Alsace Lorraine, north of

      ... the other side of the block to watch the race start and with no fences we were able to get super close to the riders as they came through.
