On to the Loire
... town on the banks of La Maine, with an imposing chateau which started life as a battle castle built by the Counts of Anjou to control the river. My host Julie would not be free from work until 6:30 so I had some time to look around and headed straight for the information centre to pick up a map, and then it was onto the castle. One of the best days of the week.
We started off by exploring the chateau. It was COLD! But so beautiful. We meandered along the Loire through several towns, stopping to get bread and snacks.
And by early afternoon, we arrived at Les Rairies to meet our friends and park up for two nights.
A proper shower and loo! Does this become an obsession with all motorhomers?
