We have woke to another beautiful sunny day. I was up first, as usual, and outside with my cuppa. I heard the grape pickers turn up about 8am. The grapes are being picked by hand, then loaded into a big bucket on a tractor, when full the driver goes to the hopper at the end of the row and empties out, then back he goes for another load. When the hopper is full it then goes of to the co-operative. We walked to the town, eating fallen walnuts on the way, and a few grapes, ...

We had passed by Bauge a number of times over the years but as the road towards Le Man bypasses the centre we had never stopped.
Filled up with diesel at the supermarket near to the Campanile and set off for Poitier. From there dual carriageway almost all the way to Angouleme. N roads then to Perigeux and on to Le Paradis. Arrived Le Paradis mid afternoon and settled in to our lovely chalet. Meal in ...
