Saumur - last stay before Paris

... first day of rain, (probably since Edinburgh!), so we only had short walk in town before back to the hotel to read and for me to write this travel blog.
Tomorrow we take the big highways and some toll roads towards Paris. First to Orly Airport to drop the car off, then into the heart of Paris to the apartment which will our home for a few days.

... did not have the correct connector for a water tap. So we went to a garden centre and stocked up on connectors and hose ends. We used the last one to connect our clear pipe to our blue pipe to reach a tap, so we need to replace that. And Sue gave us rillettes d'oel and I wanted to get some to take with us. ... the motorway. But the campsite was easy to find and reception was still open. Most receptions open limited hours and out of season, even shorter hours with lunch breaks from 12 till 2.30. A sleep-in until 8.30 stated the day , with the usual home made jams ,croissants , joghurt ,etc in the lovely walled garden, followed a very pleasant pursuit of the owners black Labrador which escaped just as we were leaving , the ******* . A sense of conscience made us chase the bloody dog , which thoroughly enjoyed the chase over a main road as far as the beach , anyway Ali caught him and the final return was being dragged home by the owner.
