Up early to pack ready for out trip to Bayonne, bike wheels off and all packed then another lovely breakfast with David & Sundara and friends Robin & Celia. Big hugs all round before driving down the Canal, setting the GPS for Bayonne where we were going to stay with a terrific vibrant young couple we had met in Thailand at the end of 2012. We had ...

We watched a few roll out the start gate then Pete and I grabbed a baguette and decided to try and get on TV. We positioned ourselves on the start straight at a slight ...

As for the holy water you go to a series of "caroma" hardware taps and buy your bottom and press the button to get your dose of holy water. My thoughts were that holy water was special, I expected a small drip of water coming from a rock. The reality is its a plumbed series of pipes and taps. There were ...

On this section of The Way we finally made some contact with other pilgrims and a couple of local folk. Prior to this, we were disappointed that the track was so lonely …. and the stories were beginning to be repeated!

Huges from Paris walked about our pace and kept sending us kindly smiles. The weather became
dreadful and we ended up in the same shelter trying to ...
