... I also grabbed a little bottle of French Champagne to cheers my birthday friends. After shopping we headed to Longues Sur Mer which is where the 4 big guns are left from the Normandie landings, part of the Atlantic Wall built by Hitler as a last line of defence against the Allies. Quite a sight to behold. Next we headed to Colleville where the American Cemetery is located. What a sombre time. There are just over 9,000 graves at this site and it ...

It is so hard to imagine what went on back then, there's no balloons in the skies, no ships just off shore, no blood in the water, no cries for help, no bullets flying and no bodies falling, it is truly surreal. I will post pictures of the tray with the coffee and the desert and also ...

... I must return to the bank with my papers and also take another language placement test. Ugh. They always make me feel stupid. I hope I do well. I have been hanging out with other American students this week and I don't like it because they do not want to speak french. So I feel like I am not learning anything. I look forward to classes.

Oh! And I have to say the french cafeteria is way cooler than ours. Today for desert I had a kabob of fruit... ...
