... train and the next one doesn't leave for another hour, so now I am enjoying a boxed sandwich and a beer. I guess balancing all the eggs yesterday helped me out. I managed to carry my bag, wheel my suitcase and manoeuvre the food tray with only one near spill. The transport situation back to Caen was as bad as ever, so we went around the corner and caught a regular bus. We had a seat and it took us right to the station, so that works better.

Back in Bayeux, Sarina and Lin needed to change and then we went to dinner as we needed red meat. The food was OK, but the service was so slow.

... hills were well defended no wonder we lost so many storming these beaches. After finishing here we were dead with hunger and while driving out we took a wrong turn and saw some smoke billowing out of an open grill. We could smell the sweetness of sausage being cooked so we pulled over and decided to have lunch. There were a ton of people around the Overlord Museum, mostly in uniform young and old.
