      ... the path. I offer to take a photo of this family of 3, the wife and daughter seem enthusiastic, but the husband says "No!". Fine. I continue on my way. I walk for a good couple hours along the coast path. Very scenic. Then I make my way back to town. It starts to rain, I find shelter and wait for it to let up. I then find a nice bench to lie flat on and take a siesta. It's sunny and warm again, so peaceful. The ferry arrives again and we depart at 4PM. Tons more people walking ...

      ... just hope that they don't serve me meat. 1st course peanuts and bread. And a beer! Then scallops. On no! I've never had scallops since I got sick from them once. Here we go. But they were fantastic, grand, tres bon. 2nd course, tandoori or fish, Salmon maybe? Half the fish was cooked fine and the other half was over cooked, white. But still great. Sauce and vegetables and mash, all of it. 3rd and last course, I picked the tray of desserts. An ice cream with a macaroon on top. ...

      ... in WW II when they occupied France. They are still there, and I am presuming that their present role is to as an anchorage for large yachts.
      The Germans had occupied all the countries on the Atlantic, English Channel and North Sea of Europe and constructed defences in strategic sites along that long coast line.
