After Elven we were in need of sustenance. Vannes was our destination, not far down the motorway, on the Gulf of Morbihan. It was easy getting into the centre of the city and found a parking spot (free between 12 and 2 being lunchtime when shops shut) and walked back through narrow cobbled streets - the norm really - and quickly chose a busy cafe with seats outside under the shade. Carnac is a small village in Brittany, home to over 3000 megalithic stones. They're not big like Stnehenge, actually about waist height. They date back to a time between 5000 and 3500 BC and covers around five or six areas throughout the village.
