    ... being Sunday the cathedral wasn't open till 12.30 so we went on a river cruise along the canal where we heard a little history and saw some of the old buildings where some of the only remaining parts date back to Saxon times. It was really enjoyable. With the rest of our free time we went in all directions....some shopping, some for lunch and a few of us found.....you guessed it....a patchwork shop :) ...

    ... A bit of a small road to get here, so, perhaps not suitable for a late night arrival in the dark.

    According to the ACSI book, the site has free 80% wifi coverage, but, I cannot connect, so presumably we are in the other 20%!

    ... old Carrefour supermarket. Still managed to find yet more foodstuffs and beers etc to buy, and loaded up the car. Arrived at P&O ferry terminal too early but happily they had space on an earlier sailing, so we set off back to blighty on the 18.50. Sat upstairs in the 'Brasserie' for a meal on the journey back, which has the advantage of you getting a seat and table for the duration, in an uncrowded room rather than the busy ...
