... 900 foot altitude drop. One side of the mountain was more scenic and sunny while the other was cloudy and drizzly. We continued to take *********** and on throughout the day depending on our location. The first hike was easy and well marked. However, after lunch we thought we took the right trail to Allmend but it ended at a cow pasture surrounded by an electric fence. We could look down and see where we needed to be but ...

After a lovely fry up in our apart hotel we hit the road on a lovely morning to head another 230 miles north into Switzerland, we entered on vapours as we had been told the diesel is really cheap only to find it's not! Hence the fill up cost us another £10.

Got the train to Interlaken which only took a out 20minutes. Walked the 5 mins to our apartment on Bernastrasse. The key was in the door so we let ourselves in. A bit later Silvia arrived to say hello. She gave us a visitors card which gives us discounts and free bus a ...

Today we left Venice for Switzerland. Considering we hadn't done much in Venice there was no problem leaving. In fact, we were both keen to get out of Venice and get a fresh start on a new place.

As we got into Switzerland the weather changed drastically. The first stop that we got out at was a lot colder and the scenery was also getting greener. We drove through the longest tunnel in Europe then started a massive climb up to around 2200 metres ...
