    ... with your-choice-of-height water jets (my favourite was more like a small waterfall and poured on your shoulders, perhaps a bit massage-like). The hot pool was similar but indoors. The sauna (dry heat) was really nice. Apparently I enjoy baking myself (strictly in the temperature sense). The hammam was full of tea-tree scented steam, so actually seemed nice and cleansing.     ... nude I had a small flash back of being in a Japanese Onsen and then decided to get my race kit on and get out of there. I respect that the French like to kiss both cheeks but the longer I stayed in this confined room the more chances increased of cheeks touching (not the ones I'm comfortable with).     To ensure that all bits for our bikes had infact been retrieved we spent the afternoon having a shakedown ride around Lake Annecy. The plan was 37km around the lake shore (i.e flat). Navigation was Rob's responsibility......we ended up with 60km and 500m of climbing....and feeling well and truly shook down. All was relieved by a cooling evening swim in the lake.

    Dinner at a very pleasant bistro in the old town finished the day.
