... almost to the Rhine River. When we finally got back to the hotel, we had to quickly change into our concert uniforms before another amazing three course dinner. I had my first creme brûlée, which was delicious. Our concert was held only about 15 minutes from our hotel. Everything went really well, and we got a standing ovation from our lovely audience. They had a reception for us afterwards where they served iced tea (to the kids) and wine (to the ...

    The Longest Day

... is something that you shouldn't try to think about if you're tired. Believe me, we tried, and all we got were headaches. Today we traveled to Berlin by train. A little research showed that, if we traveled 10 minutes over the border to the German town of Kehl, riding the same train from Kehl was less than half the cost (than from Strasbourg). The train ride was pretty straightforward - once you figure out how to read German. We had a total travel time ...

Snoopy the Sat Nav is now working thanks to my memory returning - must have been the Rochefort Beer. We plugged the Snoopy into the inverter and charged it from the leisure battery. Huge relief all round.

Set off with a view to staying on an Aire in Strasbourg. the drive was actually pleasant. Hot but pleasant. No dramas, no falling over.

Even driving through the City of Strasbourg went well. With both Peter and Snoopy telling me which lane to get in. Very ...
