Next we visited Mercier winery and did a tour in mini train through caves underground. There were lots of caves and many bottles of champagne.     ... the annual subscription, so the cost to us for each visit is nothing. A great arrangement and their is a directory covering the whole of France. Today we headed into Epernay and enjoyed a wander around some local markets before partaking in a tour of a Champagne house called Mercier. It involved catching a lift 30 metres underground and then being conveyed on a train around a labyrinth of tunnels where the Mercier bubbles are all produced. Another enjoyable day. This evening ...
