... as well as a taxi driver strike. A French woman also waiting for the train made a phone call and assured us that our train would still be coming. She was right! We're back in Toulouse by 10:30 where we say goodbye to the Dennets. They will stay here overnight, head back to Paris in the morning and catch the Eurostar to England for the next part of their holiday. Rob and I will see them in Paris in a few weeks. Today we headed to Lezignan-Corbiere to meet up with our wine club friends. We overnight here before taxiing to Argens Minervois to take charge of a penichette for 7. What a hoot! We catch the train from Toulouse and spend about 90 mins watching beautiful scenery before our stop. We arrive at 2:15pm and we're currently in the restaurant near our hotel waiting for the owners to arrive so we can check in. The restaurant owner is very friendly, ...

... and paintings. We loved a special exhibition of Benjamin Constant (1845-1902), with exquisite paintings of scenes in Morocco and various portraits. It was all an extra bonus as admissions were free, due to a strike we think. There was also the Saint Sernin Basilica, built in the 5th century. We had lunch at a restaurant above the market in Les Halles Victor Hugo. Good value and nice food at Le Magret for €19 each for three courses. We started with rounds of toasted ...
