... very well. Luckily breakfast here is available up until noon, so there is a good chance for a sleep in. I then walked into the city centre, and realised that the hotel is located in a bit of s dodgy part of town. Probably why I didn't go out to find a restaurant last night, or tonight either. ... melted goat's cheese, with salad, then I had a main of duck with vegetables, and for dessert creme caramel. The next day we picked up the car and travelled towards the Pyrenees, choosing the small highways then small winding roads through the mountains, past empty ski fields with their chair lifts crisscrossing the road and disappearing up the mountain slopes. ... out and went wherever the flow took us. It was very hot and close which made it less pleasant than normal but we had a good afternoon wandering and shopping.

That at evening after dinner and a glass of wine or three we returned to the hotel to settle down for the night. There was a very spectacular thunderstorm which kept some of us awake although my daughter managed to sleep through it without even stirring!
