    Today we drove south to the town of Ypres which was almost totally destroyed in WW1. It is the site of the Mennen Gate War memorial that was developed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.     Pack up early to move on today. Prego found a stick, of which she was incredibly proud! We drove through the rain to St Omer. The non-toll roads took us via Saint Eloi where there’s a ruined abbey. The weather had eased by then so we stopped for a look.
