... and reach the top of over 2000m. At the top they have a colony of marmots, the mascot of the alps. They are a ground squirrel or groundhog. We walked the final part to the top and were awarded with amazing views.

Thursday The bus trip to Geneva was uneventful and we arrived at the Nash airport Hotel. On our way past the airport we checked that our bikes were still there, and they were but our little tool bags were both open. Obviously whoever had looked in them didn't want spare tubes or Alan keys. ... they asked me if this bar was similar to bars in Canada and I said it was almost the exact same, especially the menu. They had poutine! Can't get more Canadian than that. Eventually many of them started to head home so I headed out too.

Lausanne is a lot more hilly than I expected. On the way to the Cathedral, I had to stop and rest and take my hoodie off because I started sweating. But it has a killer view! Tomorrow it's a day trip to Bern and then off to Lucerne tomorrow ...
