This morning was an early start (6 AM) to catch the TGV train to Geneva. We had to take the metro to Paris Lyon, where we bought lunch for on the train, and then caught it to Switzerland. It was a bit slower than the Eurostar and took around 4:30. Otherwise it all went smoothly though. Once in Geneva, we caught the tram to CERN, the end of the line, and were slowly transferred ...

Ahhh…I love "restaurant" nights!

If the weather would have been shining it would have been more splendid, but we briefly visited the main street and moved along to Lausanne after taking some pics by the waterfront and grabbing a bike to eat. I was actually quite surprised about Lausanne. With so many towns being just that..towns..I was not ...

... visit to the Olympic museum was a disappointment due to the fact that the museum was closed for renovations. We managed to take a stroll around the Olympic park which consists of the gardens between the museum and Lake Geneva and a number of sport related sculptures. The site of the Olympic flame is also within the borders of the park. The museum was founded on the 23rd June 1993 by Juan Antonio Samaranch. After 23 months of renovation the museum reopened on the 21st December 2013
