Learning and Seeing European Politics
... from the inside and outside (there is even a red carpet like they have at the oscars that the members walk on for fancy occasions). We saw all the auditoriums and the huge conference room where all the members assemble, which was interesting but the tour guide was speaking German with a French accent making it impossible to understand most of what she was saying. Oh what a night!!
... and domes dwarfed us and quite frankly was very humbling. We took lots of pictures and were there for over an hour. I am still In awe! We continued to walk and Amanda made her first purchase... A scarf!! I am on the lookout for a hat. Problem, having a hard time finding one the fits my head. Weird! We stopped for lunch in this little pizzeria and just plowed through gnocchi with shrimp and mushrooms and a pizza with artichokes, ham and an egg. Yum!! The day ...
Another city...
... new shoes buy one get one 50% off. score! they are like baby clouds on my feet and super cute. stephanie and i had a wonderful lunch of gnocchi and pizza and a bit of wine. on the walk home from shopping we stopped at a local pub with the most beautiful wood tables. met up with marlin and had a wonderful dinner and we even had room for desert. now we are all super tired and trying to plan out our tomorrow.

The afternoon was spent very happily being bussed into Alsace for a wine tasting visit to one of the local cellars. The scenery was lovely, and those colours still amaze. The wine tasting was interesting as the region considers it is a cool climate area so comparisons were in order! We enjoyed every wine we tasted - thank goodness it was too far to post back!
