      Walk To All The Attractions

Great location in the heart of Petite France on the Grand Rue. Short walk to the canals, Cathedral, etc. We arrived two hours before check-in but the staff said they'd have our room ready in ten minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our third floor room decor was a strange mix of modern and post French Revolution. Good internet reception in room. No curtains only a thin pull-down shade. When the sun comes up at 6 AM, it's bright! Our room faced the street and a local street crowd on the corner howled at the moon until about 10 PM.

Strasbourg, France may be our favorite city we have visited so far but it was certainly a quest to get here.

Between 8:00 AM and noon we utilized virtually every public mode of transportation available.to get from Heidelberg to Strasbourg.

During that period we took two busses, two commuter trains plus a high speed bullet train …

... stopped in the main square under a 25 degree sunshiny day for a beer, and then stumbled upon a tiny family-run winery just minutes from our apartment.

The tasting area was the cellar of their eight hundred yearish old family home, adorned with barrels, grape cutters, spigots, and tools of the trade. The owner, Raphael, took us through five of the 19 wines they produce and invited us back the following day to try another five or seven, ...

      Bonjour mes amis,

I worked really ******* this for my class. I made up all the sentences and my mom and I worked on the translation and pronunciation. Hopefully some of the kids in my virtual French class will see it.

      We miss you.

      Thanks for watching my blog,

That we can be free to do such things is something that they are inherently jealous of and hateful for. So I will continue, as we all should and I will take the prayers and thoughts for those young people on The Camino and ...

      Easter Sunday in Baden Baden

After a trip to Colmar France, we stopped at the midway point back home at Baden Baden. We had afternoon tea at the hotel and then explored the Casino, Theater, and beautiful surroundings. We spent the afternoon relaxing at the Caracalla Therme Baths. One thing I've learned how to do since being in Europe is to disconnect on the weekends and enjoy life and Baden Baden is the place to do ...
