What a whirlwind of the last few days. We flew to England and landed at Luton airport. A bus and two trains later we made it to London. It was a privilege to be welcomed by the Haggis family so warmly to see their loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Vi off to her final resting place. ... explain to me what they were talking about. It was a nice way to check to make sure what I was able to take from the conversation was correct. The stereotype that the French are stuck up is not true at all. Even in Paris, as long as I tried to speak French, they were very nice and helpful.

This was also the last time I was going to see Oscar, so I asked for a family photo. He left for BoyScout camp for two weeks on Monday. C'etait triste!

left La Rochelle and made my way south, stopping at an Aire in Soubise which is a lovely Aire at the yacht port, next to a river side restaurant. At the Capitainerie I availed myself of the heated showers, had a good soaking and washed my hair.
