... on board, to fancy expensive ones. There was no time when we couldn't see at least one boat. Everyone seemed to have swapped their bikes for boats, though not really, because there were still thousands of cyclists around as well. Even now, at 9.30pm, there are still lots of craft going past on the canal outside out appartment. It will be interesting to see how the Amsterdammers enjoy themselves tomorrow. Goodnight for now. Anyway, I was at the right platform at the right time.

I could watch the screen and see that the platform 8 train was still ...

We spent the morning perusing souvenir shops and looking through many more of the side lanes which are full of shops and residences. At noon we went to Dam Square to wait for our tour to begin.
The information on the brochure reads:
"A tour to Holland's most authentic villages Volendam and Zaanse Schans, you will see scenic landscape dotted with windmills and green-timbered houses. You will visit a cheese factory, ...

... is a city where you could spend weeks and weeks (and one where people often move to) and we definitely know why. It was such a great experience renting a little apartment over the canals and we really got a small taste of what it’s like to live the Amsterdam lifestyle. One thing is for sure, while this was our first visit to this wonderful city it certainly won’t be our last.

Next stop…Brussels, Belgium! Until next time…David & ...
