      ... most famous paintings being " The Girl With a Pearl Earring". Took the train to another city called Den Haag, only a few miles outside of Delfts. Had a lovely lunch under the sun and saw a lot of old churches.       After a LONG day and a half of traveling, the worst of the flights is finally over! I just landed in Amsterdam and am waiting for my flight to Prague! My first flight was to Minneapolis, it was really short and easy, and when I landed and got to my connecting gate, there conveniently was a bar that was right next to where I lined up! I also dropped into a couple of shops where people were making Delft pottery in the back, and for somebody who is hard pressed to even make a lump of clay, I found it pretty impressive. The glazing and painting aside, just the forms that some of them can make is incredible. One shop displayed a handmade Delft church.
