... penpal project, working around teaching in Surgeres. Lydia is so good that way, she said I can drop into class anytime to do that with the kids. And I know she really doesn’t mind at all.

My First week in Surgeres went quite well. It will be a bit different working in this school than the others. Most teachers will have me take half the class, which is normal for Courcon as well, but I will take them for the whole hour instead of 25-30 ...

This building, called la Corderie Royale, is where all of the ropes were made for different boats and ships, like Hermione. It is 374 meters long and the longest building in Europe. They had to make ropes close to 200 meters long and this explains the length of the Corderie Royale, because of the way the ropes were traditionally made in the past. ... was a bit disappointing.

There is also the most important bottle making factory in all
of Europe situated in Cognac. Which had a population of 20 000 people in 2008,
I’m going to take a guess and say that it’d be about 21 or 22000 people by now.
Anyways, that’s a pretty small town to have the most important bottle factory
in…by the way, this factory produces more than 2 million bottles a day. A DAY!
    Wowzers. Dana and I ...

... shape and it is spreadable, you eat it as an appetizer on toast. Unfortunately, like many specialties, it is expensive. I looked at it in the grocery store this week and it was 15 euros for a little log….and that was the cheap stuff!

We also had duck breast, which I had once before at a different teacher’s house for dinner once. I quite like duck I have decided. And for dessert, (the mom was so cute) she came out of the kitchen with two different ...
