have been here, walking down the streets of Rochefort every day, I
have noticed plenty a baguette, as well as, yes A LOT of people
smoking, more than I would ever see in Kenora or in Thunder Bay when
I went to University. However, I began to wonder if I see a lot of

went to the English assistants’ apartment to book our train tickets
and reserve a spot in the Youth hostels. As it turns out, Gemma is

Bon soir. Ps we passed the 1000 mile mark 2 miles before our campsite this ...

... at Fouras. Again it's slightly different to last time as we arrived at 8pm in the dark and pouring rain. The good news is we have all used our overshoes now, so they were worth bringing them. It would have been somewhat later but we caught the last river crossing on the Transbordeur, a magnificent hanging platform which is pulled across on cables between1 two enormous Towers. Anyway we did catch it and are safely camped up at Fouras. Have a look at our dining room! More news to ...

... is Meredith who lives with
a French family and she comes from the States.

So as you can see, we are quite a mixed
group of backgrounds here in the small town of Rochefort and I hope
we can all learn about each other’s cultures throughout our 7
months together. School has been pretty repetitive so far, I started Oct 1 and I showed the students a slide show about my ...
