          ... path with 360° views. This way was not recommended in bad weather (there was a road alternative) as you would see nothing, and have to walk on stony uneven paths.           We left Navarrenx very leisurely as knew it would not be too long a walk today. It ended up being 19 kms - you never know, the Le Puy GR book said only 15 kms but it lied! We are just before the village of Aroue, in a Gite farm. A beautiful place, all newly fitted out, but this time we have communal showers, toilets - all very perfect, but ...

          ... we were just walking into Maslacq (and again enough to really need protection, even if only for 5 minutes till we got to the hotel). We arrived before 11 am!!!!
