... the quite village areas and the ski fields. A beautiful Saturday and chance to reflect. Chaos as usual in the city!

Dinner in, after a stroll in town. Its shopping bonanza fortnight. The place is packed. I liked the €2200 watch but other than that not too much appealed.

... if you wanted. There were so many religious shops selling everything religious you can think of right next to each other. There would have had to be about 100 of them in Lourdes. We also saw so many priests and nuns in full outfits strolling around. Prayers, masses, rosary and confession go all day every day. You can buy candles that are 2m high to put at the alters. My second Help X...and a very different experience. I've spent 2 weeks in beautiful Oloron with those magical mountains :) I met my host (Toby) the first day at a climbing completion taking place in the middle of town. Toby was helping to organise and judge the competition which was for handicapped people of all ages - there were about 50 participants from all over so quite a big event! This morning I was up at 6:30 and felt most rested. Rain again for the 3rd day. Breakfast included yogurt, tea, homemade bread and jams prepared from the owners garden and trees in the backyard. One of the jams comprised rhubarb and watermelon, a second one was apricot and the third was from a berry that I do not recall the name. The owner returned the clothes that she had dried for me.
