      ... the hotel was so beautiful, and empty except for us. So we conspired to have pizzas delivered, the hotel bartender/waiter, Pepe, stoked a fire for us in the library, and we all snuggled down into wing back chairs in front of a fire where we drank, ate, and laughed for hours.       ... entire news coverage was on the widespread serious flooding and damage caused in the part of France that we are in with more of the same tomorrow. Cars have been washed away, transport disrupted, roads torn up. TV news the next morning estimated damage at 2 billion euro. It rained heavily at times while in the restaurant which had a plastic roof with canvas lining and rain come inside for a short time. We'll probably try to get to Perpignan tomorrow - a day ...

      ... a naturist village where nudity is mandatory. No, we didn't go because it was too cold and raining!!

      During the evening after a few drinks at the apartment complex bar, we went out to a restaurant and had a steak to celebrate Gilly's birthday. When we eventually left we got soaked wet through walking the 10 minutes back to the hotel.

      ... br> Surprisingly Sue was back in the bar inside an hour with a few bags under her arms lamenting that she had to give up early before she bought the lot!

      Good job I always bring the digital scales to weigh Sue's luggage.... I reckon we'll need them.

      Dinner plan tonight is in the town square at a place called Restaurant Autrement, we had lunch here last year and the food was exceptional.
