... hotel to get changed & I'm starving, it's around 3pm. Over Italian & it's quite expensive in Nice we find McDonald's opposite the beach. Mcchicken never tasted so good. I enjoy trying different foods but we realise Australia has got multicultural cuisine pretty good. I'm looking forward to some BBQ sauce & strange craving for a meat pie. Granny's homemade ones with tomato sauce. After maccas across the road is a tourist train that takes you around ...

... We had to wait an hour for the next one to go back so we decided to grab a cappucino in the only bar/cafe that was open in this ghost village. Lefty and John were sitting at another table and started conversation with us. They offered to drive us in their rental car to our village becaause they were going that way and were clearly very generous. Usually we say no to strangers but they seemed very genuine and nice, and, why not! I don't like to pass up opportunities to meet new ...

What an exhausting day! Ray & I started the day with a power walk along the Promenade des Anglais then we headed to the cours Saleya ( markets) to pick up some fruit & veggies . Then off to the supermarket for more. Whew!! Back to the apartment & the kitchen to prepare pasta sauce AND Salade Nicoise. Been a few months since I have cooked. I am exhausted!! I might need an extra glass of wine tonight to recuperate . We found ...

It's great being around people that love me. Recharges me. Tomorrow I'll be in Barcelona and the "plan" from there is to explore Portugal, Spain, maybe Morocco. Work a bit. Enjoy a mild winter. Have some time in isolation. Continue to budget well. 6weeks later come back to France for Xmas. Cos a solo Xmas just doesn't appeal in the least.

Hello small backpack... We meet again!
