... had a lovely walk around the rest of the mariner then up the stairs to the palace. Had some great photo shots on the way up of Monaco and the mariner. Once up the hill we stopped at a lovely restaurant for a late lunch. We all chose veal for our lunch. There was an amazing looking gourmet desert that had 5 different deserts on it (profiteroles, chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce, apple tart, ice cream and sponge cake). Pigs that we are we ...

We spent another two days hanging out in Nice. Yesterday was the kids' favourite - they rented roller blades and I rented a scooter. It's great being around people that love me. Recharges me. Tomorrow I'll be in Barcelona and the "plan" from there is to explore Portugal, Spain, maybe Morocco. Work a bit. Enjoy a mild winter. Have some time in isolation. Continue to budget well. 6weeks later come back to France for Xmas. Cos a solo Xmas just doesn't appeal in the least.

... those really touristy cafes. So I reserved my opinion of what Nice had to offer till I try a proper restaurant.

I went for a walk on the Promenade de Anglais, the sun was blazing down and it felt soooooooo good. Walked through parts of the old town then I needed to get my supplies so I went on a hunt for a supermarket. As my first day was a Sunday, most shops and big supermarkets were shut. Luckily I found two small supermarkets ...
