... last visit,.. the town was really buzzing. The central market square is alive with restaurants,.. wall to wall! (On our 2006 visit our day in town was a Sunday and, like all of France, the place was like a ghost town.) We rode and walked till 6.30pm. While we are not big into churches, the cathedral in Metz,.. right in the heart of town,.. deserved a visit. WOW! What a building. I have never seen so much stained glass,.. and such an ornate building ...

We were pretty bummed but I don’t mind its already cold enough here I don’t need snow too! We were also assigned our first project today; the topic is French Culture. ... I actually know so little about the world. But as long as I remain open to explore and try new things, I'll learn a thing or two about the world beyond Florida.

I walked around for about an hour trying to find my wallet, only to realize it was in my inside coat pocket the entire time. Still a totally brand new and fun experience bringing in the Chinese New Year, thanks for reading!

... hotel, Ruby and I met the other girls to have a snack and drink. We went and got sweet crêpes. It was great to see everyone before we all kind of go our separate ways. After coming back to the hotel, I tried to connect to the wifi and it didn't work. The lady ya the desk, who remembered me from before, told me to try again later and that some other people had the same problem. Well Othmane came over to see me. I hadn't seen him in a week. ...

    Day 3: Crepes!

A travel blog entry by joel_salgado on Jan 05, 2014

... myself a pro now. It was a night filled with cigarettes, wine, beer, crepes, and terrible translations. I must say I really enjoyed the Hoegaarden!
The best part hands down were the crepes. The first round of crepes we made were sort of like quesadillas and cooked in a similar fashion. Inside we stuffed them with ham, egg, cream cheese (mixed with pepper and garlic, so delicious), tomato, onions and sour cream. Definitely not the kind of ...
