... quite small...mostly because we've passed through Leidseplein several times a day no matter where we were heading. It always seemed to be the shortest route to everywhere. The canal cruise showed us that it is bigger here than we had imagined. We got to see some areas that we hadn't seen before, plus, the boat was far from full, so we had lots of room to move around to get that perfect photo op. ... the line had an issue on that track. We had to transfer to an intercity train. This put us into Amsterdam only 1 1/2 hours later than intended and since the guy at the bed and breakfast would be waiting we decided to take a cab from the train station. That still cost less than their 30 Euro fee for the Belgian train! What are they thinking, their train is a special as their chocolate? Not likely. Anyway, time for bed. The sailors would come to the priests to make their confessions for their sins in port before going back onto their ship.
