After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!<br>

August 13th In transit....not much to say but not a whole lot happened We did visit Monaco this day though and it was really neat. It was exactly what you would see in James Bond movies. ... station, and in the elevator discovered that I was not on the first floor, but -13! There are 13 levels of "underground" parking built into the rock. So, I rode the elevator up and found myself halfway up the mountain, with a spectacular view of the waterfront below. Freda and I had a great time in this area, staying at a villa converted into a hostel right on the water. We were in awe everyday!
