    Had a good trip yesterday, the majority of it was on the A75 which is dual carriageway, unfortunately using local roads would have taken far too long. The road was fairly quiet but as the altitude increased so did the thickness of fog which we were in for about 30 miles then we were back in brilliant sunshine. Looking out of the van window now the sunshine is about to continue today.

    ... said "you can't come in here, it's out of bounds" ( in French ) oh ok, we will just walk round the outside then.     ... two small groups of Pyrenean Chamois, two together and then two Adults and a fawn as we moved slowly and quietly through the forest - fabulous. Very stiff the next day so took an easy day planning to shop in Vernet Les Bains and stop over at the Col de Jou again! However, gave up on the idea as the new motorhome is too wide!     We walked the narrow cobblestone lanes, hemmed in by formidable ramparts. Human spirit was confined quite literally. We had intended to go out in the evening for tapas but the weight of travel and history (and our good lunch) depleted our resolve and we faded out early in Girona!
