Drove into Perugia today. The underground city is blocked off at the moment so we could not visit it. We walked around for a few hours and we went to another old city called Todi. Went shopping and went home to Pablo's I played with Pablo’s microphone and he gave us some drum sticks to play ...

    Mammola day 2

A travel blog entry by sueesposito on Jun 17, 2014

We had a better sleep last night and we were greeted by chocolate cake and fruit tart. Don wrapped some quickly in serviettes to have for later. Our day trip to the beach of Marina di Giosiva Ionoca begins. We dropped into a large shopping centre first and found a Maccas. I had some fruit salad and Don a coffee. The girl who served us had parents living in Adelaide. We then went to the beach area which had the umbrellas etc and a grey type ...

I emphasised to Don not to be convinced we needed more course at dinner tonight! The restaurant A ' Piazzetta was lovely. I had a pasta with mushrooms from the local mountainside and ...

The info given was an area not an exact address and even with that there was no signs saying " Sea Calabria". We settled into our big room and booked tea for 7.30pm. We realised that no one eats before 8-9pm so we were an oddity. The food was plentiful as usual and I have now developed a twitch each time I hear a kitchen door swing open as I hope they aren't bringing more food ...

    Ostuni

A travel blog entry by sueesposito on Jun 16, 2014

... lemon tea with milk. Italians make magnificent coffee but tea is a foreign concept. We decided to venture into Ostuni 8 kms away. We had a vision of a small town like Yandina. Think again! It was hectic, busy and parking a logistically nightmare. I used my sign language to ask a shopkeeper if we could park on the street. Not where we were, so she helped us find a park and pointed to the ticket machine. Blue lines you pay, white are free and yellow are ...
