... around 12pm we spoke to some locals and it looked like the ferry came at 1pm. We decided that all the ferries would be hourly so we sat and had our lunch. We waited next to a German couple who were also catching the ferry, a fact we had only just worked out through some sort of pig-English/sign language communication. ... liquor! We arrived at the hostel just after 5pm. It is pure luxury compared to what we have been staying in. We are staying in a room for 4 people with a sink and beds with mattresses! We walked into Stade around 6pm and after ambling around the centre for a bit we stopped and sat outside for dinner.
