... de Triomphe in Paris and was commissioned by Napoleon. Since he was defeated at Waterloo before it was completed, the name was changed to peace instead of triumph. As a reminder of the defeat, the chariot and horses atop the arch were turned around, so the horses asses faced the road to Paris - in other words, kiss our asses France. Too funny! We later learned that he promised to pay for this tribute piece from the French treasury, but since it wasn't finished ...

Feeling much cleaner after a shower and a bit of a rest.
Had a walk around/ near our hotel, fiund a nice pizza/pasta restaurant for dinner.
Now I just need to workiut how to upload photos, and we can show some food ...
Our 3rd and final day was Oli's 10th birthday. It started with his favourite bacon and eggs for breakfast, a quick run around the park, some Burger King for lunch, more park time in the afternoon and a quick visit to the Duomo, then a late afternoon movie. The big treat for the day was a visit to Luna Park which for some reason has the interesting opening hours of 8.45pm - Midnight. It makes a bit more sense in summer, but quite odd in winter.
