... Sforzesco for a brief walk around - it is huge and beautifully built with rounded brick turrets and huge courtyards. We decided not to catch the metro but walk through the city, it is more interesting that way. We then visited the Duomo for an inside look. For this morning we had booked in (by internet from Australia more than a month before) to see Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper in the refectory connected to the Church and Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Small groups are only allowed in for 15 minutes to help in the preservation of this masterpiece. Kerrie had been really looking forward to this important work by Leonardo. We were both very moved when we saw it and it brought Kerrie to tears. Although the ...

... the tunnel is German & half is Italian there is a little monument for the people who died while it was being constructed. We are driving through the district of Lugano which has homes so exclusive they are only accessible by boat, the weather has turned so lovely and warm as Lugano is protected by two mountain ranges, making the weather mild. As we are driving the mountains are dropping away and the weather is so warm as we ...
