... of liveliness and activity, I felt like we were going to like it here. Lynn had booked us into a hostel, on line, which turned out to be an old hotel done up for the youth. It was like a teenager’s retreat with a couple of grey nomads sprinkled about. Nice big rooms with en-suites and no TV’s, which was not a bad thing.

... They have a conductor and they make up the music as they go. its like a race sort of, awesome. Its on every monday so ill be going to that every monday. Walked around the city in several different areas. Went to Caminito, which is a small part of La Boca, they have lots of colourful buildings and tango dances in the streets. Went to a place for lunch there ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina olace... found out our mileage-paid tickets included the exit tax. This meant one less line to wait in! It also meant we could have a leisurely dinner at La Pausa. We ordered a tapas plate of prosciutto, stuffed tortillas, and roasted peppers, and a filet mignon sandwich. It was really good. We topped this all off with a bottle of Nieto Senetiner malbec, of course. We wanted to get a blank book to start recreating our thoughts on the ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina terredeshommes... less I know.
At least I can seek solace in the universal English spoken with my multi-national classmates and students at the school, from Holland, Denmark, Germany, Brazil and Switzerland amongst others. A pleasantly lazy routine is forming each day: Classes from 9am-1am, lunch in the park afterwards, a stroll around BA's broad leafy avenues back to my neighbourhood, coffee and cake at the local cafe whilst doing my homework, a home ...
... dinner with David and his visiting friend Matt, a 3L at Brooklyn law and the child of Russian American Immigrants. Knowing that we were drooling for Parilla...Barbequed Meats...our vegetarian host took us to a cheeky (and way too cheesy) restaurant that was completely themed to the Godfather movies. We tore through lots of meat (kind of a letdown after all the Porteno BBQ hype), nice red wine and excellent French fries. After dinner, David led us to his favorite Heladeria ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina jazzkat6... British Columbia is seated with us. Zoey is a Canadian who has spent the last six years traveling the world. She moves from country to country as her visa expires. We enjoy the show, which has a male singer, and two tango dancers gliding gracefully across the stage. All & all, a pleasant way to end our first day in Buenos Aires! We are overtired and ready for bed. Signing off! See our photos for today! http://www.margieswebgallery.com/galler ies/argentina/Day1%2012-3-08/
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina journeyerI got up early to go and buy the ferry tickets to Uruguay tomorrow from the port area, but only after spending 20 minutes going nowhere with a Google search to see if the Man Utd v Liverpool game was being shown on Argie telly. Eventually I gave up and hoped that I would get back to the hostel before kick-off and that I could find ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina al_fey... The downstairs was transformed to a dance floor which included a dj and full bar. One of the complaints about this hostel is that you can hear music throughout the building late at night. The club went till the wee early morning but since I can sleep through anything, it didn't really bother me. For others, the trick is to do things during the day that get you so exhausted that your body shuts off right when you hit the bed.
