We left our hotel at 8 am this morning and drove to the Bridge at Remagen. We ran into some traffic, but arrived shortly after 11. ... We made our beds immediately and I discovered a pleasantly crusted-over patch of what could be anything from vomit to dried lotion. Terrific. After a brief moment of disgust and panic, I covered it with the bedsheet and switched my pillow to the opposite end.
