... permission to leave!

After a nice afternoon tea and some good "quatschen" or yackety-yak with him and his wife, it was time to leave. He was nice enough to drop me back to Darmstadt-Eberstadt station, where I caught the train back to Friedrichsfeld, which took 55 mins. Steffie was kind enough to pick me up and even made a family-size meat pie and a pavlova for Australia Day.
