... Lounge where we received info about what will be happening tomorrow. Had dinner with two ladies and then the hotel director Jennifer joined us at our table. She ordered two outstanding wines for us all to enjoy and brought the chef out to meet us. We commended him. The chicken cordon bleu was outstanding. ... spoilt for choice. We decided the best way to see the lake was to go up to the highest peak. After a very precarious steep and windy drive avoiding speeding Italians scraping the very edge of the road, we started our ascent up Monte Bolleto, enjoying incredible views of the lake on one side and plains on the other. ... and the mountains each side are gigantic ....there is one waterfall that is massive and three other small ones ...walk for a few hours and then back for shopping to have a light dinner in my room ...feast really and I can climb out my window and sit on the roof and take in the view ...rooms not that bad then. Dinner and knock off a bottle of red and watch homeland that I'm now addicted to. Go to sleep with the windows open to the sound of the waterfalls around me ...not bad at all ...

... on the signs. Gone are all our beloved cycle paths, the Swiss seem to prefer riding on the roads. The route still follows minor roads, but now they have drawn lines on each side for a bike lane in each direction.
