Lake Como to Parma
We packed up and checked out of our hotel on Lake Como and headed towards Parma. We stopped in at a grocery store in Como to pick up a few things and then got on the highway. We went through a number of toll booths along the way. For most of them we were able to just pull into a lane and pay cash but we went through one that just spat out a ticket and we had no idea what we were supposed to do with it. Florence and Carpi
After breakfast we headed into Firenze (florence). OMG, the traffic was nothing like I have ever seem. Kent is so good at the quick decisions needed. Sometimes we get to a place where you have to decide left or right? Quick, which way do we go - straightahead is not an option. Some places the street just empties into a huge plaza with no lines and streets exiting inall directions and cars heading wherever. There are lots of parking (big letter P) signs ...
Walking in Parma

Parma, qui dit fromage et jambon, dit bonne ville?
Levé tôt pour la ville du parmigiano et du jambon. La route se faisait assez bien, malgré les mongoles qui te coupent à tout bout de champs. En Italie, j'ai appris qu'il fallait avoir la zen attitude pour conduire. Les stops n'existent pas, si la limite c'est 130, ça roule à 160, excepté s'il y a un radar.
As usual, le stationnement que j'avais noté était rendu obsolète (bâtiment dorénavant en construction). ...
