Eventually by continually pushing the button the man had to come and see what the problem was and after a few minutes of us speaking Englitalian and him speaking Inglish the solution was for us to reverse out of that lane and go back and try the first one ...

rocky, detailed and confusing! I was 6th out of 17 runners - the
last lady in my grade took 2 hours and 15 minutes -perseverance!

We headed back down the mountain where Greta and I cooked
roast chicken for dinner and I made blueberry muffins for desert (actually
blueberry cake because we had no muffin trays!) Everyone enjoyed the fact that
we had an oven and could cook an ordinary meal that wasn’t pasta or pizza.

We are really looking forward to the rest of our time in Italy, next stop is Venice...
