... in English. The place is mainly designed to educate Germans about their history. The museum is located on top of the bunkers used by the Nazis and you can go down and look through the eerie tunnels and rooms. Lunch was in the adjoining restaurant before we tackled the journey home. Katrina had a go at driving with me as her navigator. She did a great job. ... we just wandered through them and got a feel for the place. The views from up there were fantastic. The weather is still quite cloudy but good enough to get some idea of the surrounding mountains. We walked back along the Inn River which is a glacial blue but not so bright as the Lech River in Fussen. It's a wide river and looks to be running quite fast......and very chilly!! Not very exciting for the non-golfers but today we went to the lovely nearby village of Goldegg to play golf. The weather was perfect and the course was just beautiful. If you're not a golfer just enjoy the pictures. It was also completely quiet, except for the sound of one cow bell in the next field.

... interesting things and to catch your breath. It is impressive and just giant. The whole cave complex is a massive 42km, we walked just 1km but it is 0C now and -5C in the winter and pitch black. I saw a bit less than I would have liked as I was concentrating on the slippery steps. On the way down I had more time to look about but the light level is low so you can't see the whole place all at once. By the time we got to the exit, an hour and half later, we were both cold, ...

... but believe me it was a great drive.

We crossed into Austria around lunchtime, buying our 'vignette' (road tax) at a garage and rapidly after stopped for a very nice lunch with views of mountains. To be honest we were mostly engaged in watching a couple of tractors cut sweetcorn, but at our age it doesn't take much to get us excited......
