... on the gravestone had fallen over so it took us a little while to find it, but eventually it was located. After that we went to Rivington Lower Barn, a very old village and barn which now has a lovely cafe. After fondly farewelling Marlene & Alan I headed west to Lytham - St. Annes (near Blackpool) where another cousin of my father's lives. I had met Derek & Jean a number of times because they had visited us frequently in Pleasanton and I had visited them ...

After breakie we checked out and went for our bush walk up Orrest Head. We had to drive the short distance to Windermere itself and park near the start of the walk. It took about 20 minutes up a well marked track to get to the top of the Head. We had a beautiful 360 view up the top. We could ...

... houses on the sides of hills. We spent the late afternoon relaxing in our room, enjoying the sunshine. We headed out to The Albert for dinner and once again enjoyed a pub meal with lots of locals. A 'bush walk' of sorts is planned for the morning before the drive to Edinburgh, the last leg of our trip. I am feeling a little sad it is all coming to an end. Love and smiles, ...
