    ... ride. A Traghetto is basically a gondola that operates as a canal-crossing ferry across 6-7 places on the Grand Canal. For a mere 2 € you can take one, which is the exact same as a gondola and with a registered gondolier at the helm - much cheaper than renting a gondola! I actually was on a gondola last time I was here, and it is a complete tourist trap (much like getting a Bellini at Harry's Bar) ... So been there done that, no need to fall ...

    We took a boat ride from the mainland to the islands of Venice. We took a guided walking tour through the city. Started in St Marc's square (piazza San Marco).     ... Nike trackies and Jayde bought a gorgeous bag and wallet from Michael Kors (this was not in the budget). We all enjoyed a nice lunch and then hopped back onto the coach, 1 more stop at 5:30pm at a service station to pick up some snacks we were on the road until arriving in Venice at 7:30pm. We enjoyed spaghetti bolognese cooked by the onsite team and spend the night in bar relaxing and as per normal...enjoying a few ...

    ... at the square within 20 minutes. We hauled our suitcases through the square and found our hotel again. As we expected, our room wasn't ready yet but they took our luggage for us and told us to return around 12:30.

    We wandered the streets aimlessly checking out stores and such for an hour or two. We returned to a bakery we found the day before that was selling Halloween themed goodies. We both tried one of their cupcakes, but we weren't very impressed. ...
