I decided to try this orange drink I had seen everyone having, called a spritz. It is prosecco (sparkly white wine) and aperol, some orange liquor. Mark had a beer. Well, the spritz was not so good... Kind of... I don't know weird. I did not like it. It came with a slice of orange in it, and an olive (weird). Anyway, we were really tired, so ...
... started our tour. She was very knowledgeable about Venice's history -- and if retain 25% of that information, I would be ecstatic. We went through the Doge's Palace and the Basilica with Federica, and I'll see what points I can remember here in list form:

Tomorrow we're meeting up with another family, the Meyers, whom we will be traveling with for the next 3 weeks. Angel and I first met in 1988 and we were roommates for some years before she met and married Oscar, moved to Wisconsin, and had 3 children. We've traveled with them before (a cruise in the Caribbean 5 years ago) and it was a blast. We're looking forward to spending more time with them.
