Excursion to Ile de Re
Feels good to have first week of classes under my belt! They were certainly different than classes at CofC. My extra class here is French Wine and Culture... cool :)
Last night after I ate "Steak et Frites" with my family, I went out with Margot and had a fun night downtown. This morning I woke up for a run and saw a beautiful sunrise over the beach and then the whole group spent the day in Ile de Re. It's an island near La Rochelle and ...

Windy windy times!
We got up early again and went for a short 2 mile run.. Seemed a lot longer this morning! It was cloudy and windy when we got up and were really hoping that tomorrow is the promised 30 degrees!! Anyhoo, after the run and brekkie we went into town and found the daily market!! It was huge! All though there was quantity, there certainly wasn't quality! Lots of touristy things, rip off things, fake things and a huge ...
