We boarded the ferry early on Friday morning from Port Fromantine to make the 25 minute crossing to Ile D'Yeu a small island with a population of 5000 people set 18 km from the coast to land in the picturesque Port Joinville.
The island is 9 .4 km long and 4 km wide and it is like going back in time where few cars drive along the narrow roads and bikes are a common mode of transportation. There is ...

Frances was practising her salsa whilst others were in Decathlon - rock on Frances. Roll on domain. Bon ...

... By lunchtime we had managed to avoid the heavy downpours but gave up our preferred stop overlooking the sun soaked beach for a garden centre entrance to escape the storm force winds. We had decided to push on towards Sable d'Olonne until torrential rain and winds forced us to shelter in a bus garage to re-group. Amazingly we opted to abort camping, let alone wild camping in favour of chamber d'hôtel. After ...

... are several differences. One thing I appreciate very much is the classroom environment here. The school has gone to great lengths to ensure a good social chemistry within the class. There was even a three day integration seminar at a camp next to the Atlantic Coast of France. The level is split into several separate classes that all share the same schedule. This allows students to get to know one another and form better friendships than allowed by individual schedules for each ...
