It would have been great to experience life on board the Queen Mary as she rode the Atlantic storms, but given a choice on our recent crossing and I'd have chosen the Queen Elizabeth. It's easy to hark back to the romance of the original Cunard Liners (and that's what's drawn me into this voyage in the first place), but I think I'll stick to the plastic hotel with its modern day comforts and excellent design features that fool ...

The waiters were all part of the act: they seated us and then returned a while later to give us a pop-quiz on Forrest Gump (which Nomes trumped me at, of course!) We walked down the beach and the boulevard until the sun went down and our stomachs started to rumble. After a lovely Asian dinner and a boba tea desert he dropped us off ...
... down stairs, there's plenty to observe while you're waiting. We went on most of the rides excluding the really little kids ones, and watched a couple of the parades & shows that we stumbled on. We found a place that served root beer floats & extreme ice cream sundaes, it also had a comedy show that was due to start so we waited for that. Sam poked the ice cream in his root beer float to the bottom, it foamed & overflowed all over ...
