After dropping Bev off at the airport we headed straight out of town. Of course this took us a good hour due to traffic and the inability to get proper directions! The map I we had purchased at a hotel the day when we came into the country was supposedly up-to-date, but so far I had counted around 10 mistakes. The San Jose portion was no different. Hey Update. I'm currently in Uvita Costa Rica at a place called Cascada Verde. This place is pretty awesome in the jungle with a crazy view looking out to the ocean. The people are all so different, each one is so unique. There is this lady from Germany GashaNe who quit her Lawyer job and came here to volunteer and do yoga... she's like 50 and has this funny broken English. I find my self laughing not only at her but with her constantly ...

I am in Playa Uvita. At Cascade Verde (the name of the organic farm) Wow...this place is a dream. It is missing two things that I love though, wireless and fans....but, everything else about this place makes up for it! We are staying for free in the volunteer house (which is not as luxurious as the rest...but we get to use the amenities of the main house) We are closer to the beach here (only a 40 minute walk, rather than almost an hour bus ...

... really well. We´ve fallen into the habit of staying after work and hanging out in the restaurant with the two guys who work it, Jason the manager/ server, and Ronan the chef. They all speak broken English, and I broken Spanish, so while we are learning about each other we´re also getting free language classes, it´s great! The boys at the Casona are finally getting adjusted to the recent changes. We´re all usually together downstairs at night. Alex studies a lot ...

... morning we finally made it to our canopy tour! Our guides were great and really excited that we wanted to speak in Spanish. It was a two hour hike and zipline excursion through the rainforest. We were so dirty afterwards. Then we had to hike for 25 minutes through the rainforest to get to the nearest bank.
