... go to the Vasa Museum. I knew that was the one thing he wanted to do in Stockholm.

The Vasa is a ship that sank on her maiden voyage in the early 1600's. After being on the bottom of the Stockholm harbor for 333 years, she was discovered and brought to the surface. She had to be sprayed with water all the time when being exposed to the air. For seven years, she was sprayed for 24 hours a day with something like lanolin. She is now ...

... whose shape disproved the theory of it being modelled on the shape of Empress Josephine's breast! As we had not seen the Chapel, we headed back around the complex to find a naval band performing in the forecourt, perhaps for another guard change. After they had moved on we visited the Royal Chapel with a rather Rococo interior, completed in 1754 and dominated by a white marble sculpture behind the altar. After buying a book on the palace, we crossed Slottsbacken with the view ...

It is so fun to skype with them :) The greatest, most supportive, and energetic parents ever! I am very thankful.

... was able to enjoy the end of the Opera concert, a cute cartoon on the cultures of Barcelona and Stockholm, and tons of people dancing!

This city is absolutely beautiful, the people are incredibly kind and lovely, and there is so much music and water - I love it!
