I woke up today at 7am, when the church bells outside the window coincided with my alarm. I got up after a few snoozes and made a cuppa each for us, then at about ten to 8 Kokolo came in to tell us that our transfer was picking us up in 10 minutes! Oops! The country is far from the beauty which we have seen over the past 2 weeks... Unfortunately there is rubbish strewn everywhere and much of the country lives in poverty. Arriving in Tirana in the late afternoon followed by a bus tour certainly showed the contrast with other European countries.

... to our hotel which is right on the main square of Tirana, Tirana International Hotel, supposedly 4 stars. Klodi drops us off and asks us what time we want dinner.
