... from Murren to Allmendhubel, snowboarded down to schilthornbahn station. Rode gondola to Birg, then onto the Schilthorn. This whole area was the filming location of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, the 6th bond movie. In the film, the Schilthorn acts as the evil villian's lair. Those who run the gondolas and stations have exploited this as much as possible by slapping 007 signs and posters everywhere, playing the bond theme while you ride ...

... you don't know what canyoning it is basically repelling from waterfalls and jumping and getting pushed by the natural water flow. I was pretty nervous that the water was going to be cold and that I wouldn't be able to do a lot of the climbing or jumping but I surprised myself and loved every minute of it. Geoff and I are definitely going back or trying it again in another country.

... while the kids went back up on this great travelator thing - he lived in Wengen now which meant he didn't see his 92 year old Mum back in Melbourne much any more - My Mum's 92 - so we must have been about the same age. I have to say regular exercise and lots of fresh mountain air had him in better shape than me. He asked if I'd like to come back the next day and he could have me off the beginner's slope in 1 day. Little did he know 3 days of instruction at Perisher had not seen me ...
