... spent in Gimmelwald would likely seem like an eternity. Unless those Gimmelwaldians are loose with the alcohol and their money in a card game.

We passed a barn and my friend ducked her head in to get a whiff and notified me that she loved the smell of barns. Now there's a little fact I wished I'd known in advance. The reason? Well, it just so happens that in many of the small Alpian villages you can actually pay to sleep in the ...

This morning we got up and helped around the Hostel and then walked around Interlaken before my friends went bungee jumping. Unfortunately I didnt get to go watch because it would have been 20 dollars just to go up and watch, which would have been silly. So I took the train home.
We took the train from Lauterbrunnen up the mountain to Wengen, then the tram from Wengen to Mannlichen (½ price tickets for the tram—there are lots of side benefits like this to purchasing a Swiss Rail Pass). From the top of the tram, a short side hike up to the top of Mannlichen Gipfel ...

... Apparently up to 20,000 liters of water per second comes down-it was definitely powerful. Instead of taking the bus back we decided to walk back to the campsite and I am glad that we did-we walked for about an hour through green hills with the Alps as the background. We passed by cows, goat, and pigs in the local farms-the clinking sounds of the cow and goat bells will forever remind me of that area.

After getting back to the campsite, we cooked dinner ...

... adventure in the town of Wil. I managed to lose our fuel filler cap during a fuel stop, so we had to go in search of a new filler cap. I stopped at a Fiat dealership. I thought I would duck into the parts department, get a new cap, and be on our way. Not so easy. After some translation issues, I was directed to the parts guy. Do you have a filler cap for an old Fiat Ducato? I asked though a young lady who spoke a bit of English ...
