... and is a great road for bikes.

Finally into Interlaken and its time to re-fill the tank. Somehow I have managed 175 miles since my last stop.

Tank filled and its off up the nice twisty road to Lauterbrunnen which lays right in the shadow of the wonderful Jungfrau peaks which are over 4000m high.

Briony had hers with bacon, Onion, Mushrooms and covered in cheese. The thing is it tastes great even without the toppings and they must have super potatoes up there or something. The entire view glistening by the sun; we were dazzled by the glaciers and snow covered mountains such a short distance away. We even saw a bridal party walking up higher for their photos. We spent a couple of hours at Kleine Scheidegg, soaking in the fantastic scenery and had a delicious lunch of bratwurst, rosti, beer and sparkling wine. There were so many people ...

... There was an old wooden bridge covered in flowers. Then back on the bus heading for the campsite. To get into this country you have to drive through a lot of tunnels that it is rumoured that the Swiss can blow up if someone decided to attack. Also even though Switzerland has been neutral since 1815 all Swiss males have to do 6 months volunteer army training and every town has to have a gun cache. So it ...

Presently in interlaken Switzerland, a town that will easily be rivaled by the likes of banff and Jasper given another four to five hundred years. The old world charm is working on me.
I have met up with a group of guys from Calgary who are here to play hockey. I was able to get in a game and enjoyed a few bears and snacks after,.. thank you ...
