    ... half way up a mountain. At one stage we saw a rope but no climbers! We stayed up there for a couple of hours just taking in the views. I wasn't much good in the tunnels or ice caves, a bit claustrophobic and short of breath. You had to walk down this long tunnel to get to the snow. I didn't make it.     ... the waterfall the rain had subsided a little, not that it mattered that much anymore as we had poncho’s keeping us dry from the sheer force of the waterfalls! It was actually a really enjoyable experience while taking in the breathtaking views of the valley.

    ... in Gimmelwald, we would have just been soaked. If we ever make it back to Switzerland, I know we will try to visit the Alps again, with hopefully better weather.

    As Merilee mentioned in the blog, Switzerland runs on their own currency. After this we would have the convenience of using the same currency for the rest of our trip. ATMs certainly make travel easy as we never had to deal with any currency exchange offices.
