    ... expected! We were able to throw snow balls and slide around on the snow! It was so awesome! Everyone had a great time! then we came back down the mountain and walked to the supermarket and got rolls, salad and ham and made yummy rolls! Most of their houses are built in the traditional Swiss style and there are small nurseries all over the place where you can buy plants and seedlings for your window boxes. As someone who cannot keep a pot plant alive if I lived here I would have to frequent these nurseries. What also surprised us was how the sheep and cows wonder all over the place.     ... good quality! The hotels and shops here are heated to about 20 degrees or more, so you are constantly putting on or taking off layers of clothes..a hot cheesy pie and apple tart, washed down with coffee, was a good supper. Ian has been drooling over the bakeries that seem to be around every corner..they stock so many different types of delicious looking bread and well as fruit tarts, apple strudel, coconut macaroons (huge) and etc ...
