... list- Park Guell. A large space designated to Gaudi's work (a famous architect). We lazed under palm trees and their accompanying chirping parrots until our alloted time to enter the inner park. Got some great pics. Sagrada Familia was next- we didn't go inside but opted for pizza and sangria and people watching next to it instead. Then we window shopped and meandered and siesta-ed  (when in spain and all that!) Until dinner at a tapas restaurant.  Most headed home after ...

... started darkening around 5pm and we opted to leave before the rain came down. Literally right across the door from our apartment is an Irish Pub called "The Snug" (the owner is super awesome, the first night here he helped me carry our bags up to the apartment, and today he sold me an awesome Kronenbourg beer glass). ... a night out in Monaco with the rest of the topdeck group. We went and visited the castle of the prince of Monaco, the church that Grace Kelly was married in and we went along the Grand Prix race track. We also went to the grand casino in Monte Carlo, there was so many flash cars there even more so then in Dubai! Unfortunately we didn't win anything at the casino but it was a bit of fun ...

... We went to a museum on the history of perfume down the ages. For a
male in holiday mode it was a case of information overload!

Lunch – some more genuine French salad – was taken in a
little cafe near a labyrinth of narrow streets we had explored. It included a
desert for Euro 12.50.

The afternoon was taken up with heading back to the coast
and Cannes, where we ran into a traffic jam ...

We gave our VW Polo a pat, it's ego bruised, and headed to a little place called Beaulieu-sur-mer which also housed many boats, obviously for those who could not afford the fees at Monaco. We managed to squeeze in a beer whilst overlooking the marina and headed back to Nice. ...
