... I'm still very confused as to how they stay up there and don't plummet to their deaths. Snowshoeing proved to be a super fun experience with a heavy reliance on balance, which apparently I don't have too much of. But I only fell once, everyone in the group fell at least once, even our chaperone!

Then we got to spend some time in the village, it was so quaint. There was the ...

Of course weight gain was not at the top of our Santa wish list nor our ultimate goal of a week 'skiing' in the French Alps. Though when the local 'Spar' supermarket kindly sells you two euro french champagne (close relative of Moet) delicious jamon, cambert cheese and freshly baked baguettes it ...

      From saints to snow

... for the Sucre ;-). It was I a lovely little square and the Fete was going on all around. It was really something! We are literally surrounded by mountains. Many still have snow on them and we are wondering if this snow lasts all year round. It is a remarkable sight and is spectacular from any angle in the city. There is a trough running through the centre of our street - a cut out in the actual road not an above ground trough. I am not sure what ...
