Thought we would unwind before dinner with a short stroll and ended up doing the Giro di Lago hike ( a circuit of the lake), returning some 2 hours later, "just" in time for dinner.
We left the hotel around 10:00 this morning. We had a lovely buffet breakfast, packed up and headed to the Swiss National Park. But first we drove into the town of Davos. It has been said that Davos is more cool than quaint. That must be why we didn't find much of interest to us. It is more geared to the crème de la crème of capitalism who attend the annual World Economic Forum here.

A solo effort today by Bec.
The dreaded travel day has arrived again. Picked up promptly and delivered safely to the train station, we embarked on a rail journey that took us around the other arm of Lake Como. The scenery was again wonderful but we think not as pretty as we have seen, although at times we had to stand to see it as one side of the train had graffiti that even covered the windows.!

... Apples were espaliered and took up all the available land - right down to the side of the road. Reminiscent of Bilpin and yet so different. Afterwards we stopped at Merano with its great ornate brewery called Forst. (We had a coffee!) The Passo Di Stelvio was a highlight - a fabulous route of tight hairpin turns.
