... switchbacks/ hairpin turns and also the magnificent mountain vistas at every turn. We took our time getting to the top, stopping a number of times for photos, before turning around and heading back down to the beautiful township of Bormio for a quick refreshment stop.

We returned to Matteo & Caterina’s place in Tresivio for another majestic home-cooked meal before finally returning to Morbegno for a Limoncello with Patrizia & Giovanni before ...

The bike paths are amazing around that area, the first part to Bolzano was long and straight through apple orc***********gside a river and rail line. This was comforting as if we could not make it home the train was an option. But we didn't know that we actually bypassed Bolzano turned off and went to Kaltern which meant ...

Wonderful stay in a wonderful area

A travel blog entry by raggioluce on Jul 31, 2014

We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...
