... br> Only 60 euro for this rather large room with a view to die for. Looking out the window I can see the best road back down the pass which depending on tomorrow's route may or may not be my way out of here.

After unloading the bike I go off for a wander around the area and to find myself some food.

Finally I end up in a restaurant/bar and as I am in Italy (I think;-) I order Taglatelly with mushrooms. Well, if ever I had tasteless taglatelly and old ...

Thought we would unwind before dinner with a short stroll and ended up doing the Giro di Lago hike ( a circuit of the lake), returning some 2 hours later, "just" in time for dinner.

A solo effort today by Bec.
The dreaded travel day has arrived again. Picked up promptly and delivered safely to the train station, we embarked on a rail journey that took us around the other arm of Lake Como. The scenery was again wonderful but we think not as pretty as we have seen, although at times we had to stand to see it as one side of the train had graffiti that even covered the windows.!

... Apples were espaliered and took up all the available land - right down to the side of the road. Reminiscent of Bilpin and yet so different. Afterwards we stopped at Merano with its great ornate brewery called Forst. (We had a coffee!) The Passo Di Stelvio was a highlight - a fabulous route of tight hairpin turns. There happened to be a cycling marathon at the same time today. We don't understand how they can ...
