... some beautiful sights. The Cathedral was absolutely magnificent- inside as well. We had an amazing lunch at the most gorgeous restaurant! Yesterday (Friday 9th Jan) we had another amazing breakfast - this time with Roberto and Ilaria. We spent the day with Ilaria's brother Dario and his wife Anita. While we were waiting outside to be picked up by Dario, we were saw the local baker who drives around beeping his horn and sells breads and pastries from his van. Roberto bought us a custard pastry which was delicious! We were laughing saying that it was Switzerland's equivalent of Mr Whippy. ...
Woke up to a beautiful view from our window then down for breakfast (photo). Had the best latte so far this trip. We then commenced a browse around the streets of Venice, looking through shops and taking photos. We indulged in a gelato before heading back to collect our bags and catch the ferry to the train station where we caught the train to Milan or Milano. Venezia to Milano by traino 2.5 hours. ... then it must be here. The food was simply disgusting and not even good for a rat. I simply left it and went elsewhere.
As the sun went down it began to get extremely cool and with the night sky as clear as it is I would say its going to be a rather cold night. Then again what does one expect up at 4000m??
Its 4am now and looking outside at the cars and my poor bike there is ice all around so I hate to think what temp it is out there now.

A solo effort today by Bec.
The dreaded travel day has arrived again. Picked up promptly and delivered safely to the train station, we embarked on a rail journey that took us around the other arm of Lake Como. The scenery was again wonderful but we think not as pretty as we have seen, although at times we had to stand to see it as one side of the train had graffiti that even covered the windows.!
