... found a perfect spot to enjoy the last headlining act of the evening, a popular french band who lit up the night.
Back onboard it was time to prepare to motor underway once more. After one more trip to the local farmers market, loading up on hundreds of dollars of the finest ingredients, we freed our lines from Montreal and set sail further down the Saint Lawrence heading to our next destination, The Thousand Islands.

... and did a loop over to Nuns' Island to see more of the city and the suburbs. We got off and had a walk through a beautiful snowy park beside the river. Scrunch scrunch through the clean snow. We didn't get too cold as we were walking briskly. The river (St Lawrence), isn't frozen, but has lots of ice on the edges, and there was a lovely mist swirling over the water.

... original Pop Art items. Said to be the best and biggest collection of Pop Art in Montreal. We strolled the hotel lobby like potential guests but I suspect a room was a little out of our price range! Haha!
After this we took a photo of the Aldred Building. Built to emulate the skyscrapers of NYC it is said to have been modelled in the Empire State Building. However despite this it looks much more like the Rockefeller Centre in NYC. We went to the top ...

After all these years, fresh changes in my life are carrying me away from Canada. I hope that it won't be permanent, but for now I don't know what will happen so I decided to go on a last tour and try to see as many friends as possible.
So before leaving for that break in Vancouver I stopped by in Montréal and ...
... off for a free jazz concert! Although we didn't stay to hear the concert, the atmosphere was great and heard some fun music on the way through the streets for a while.
Eventually we stumbled across a very cute looking cafe that was called Brits and Chips: a British Fish n' Chips Pub. We got some fish that was covered in a maple syrup batter. I was cautious of it, but I have to report it was sweet and delicious!
