... by foot - all you had to do was follow the signs which would lead you up two escalators, past Jardin Animalier, up three steep hills, up a 473 step staircase (or eight public lifts if you couldn’t manage the steps) and then one last hill. Juan-les-Pins was a popular place for writers during the Jazz Age and still has an annual jazz festival in July. We passed a park where many jazz and some rock artists had performed, but no shows were scheduled while we were there. I've posted the signed handprints in the sidewalk of some I recognized.
