... on in Nice but more professional & better commentary. We learn about history of the country & see the major sites in about 30 minutes. We even drive by the casino & drive on part of the Grand Prix track. The casino is too long a walk & you have to be dressed up & pay 10 euro just to get in. ... of a "Karl will be proud moment" in Ventimiglia. Our train got in a few minutes later than expected. I followed Rick Steve's advice and didn't buy tickets from Ventimiglia to Nice until we arrived. We found the ticket line and it had about 6 or 7 people ahead of us. ... it had a different departure point to drop off but as we have no working mobile, we didn't get the message. Thought we would be taxiing it back to St Paul, but spotted the tour organiser in a different street and were glad to get the coach home.

Juan-les-Pins was a popular place for writers during the Jazz Age and still has an annual jazz festival in July. We passed a park where many jazz and some rock artists had performed, but no shows were scheduled while we were there. I've posted the signed handprints in the sidewalk of some I recognized.
