With our Eurail pass we decided to do a few day trips from Nice. We started with Monte Carlo, Monaco in the morning. It is strange to think that within 30 minutes you are standing in a new country. Monte Carlo is a beautiful city, built up on a cliff but with a lovely view of an incredibly blue ocean. It feels like any other city until you get over to the area where the casino is. After 23 hours awake we had caught a train, two planes and a bus and feel into our bed of a little French hotel close to St Gare railway station. Swiss Air, great service, staff and food, thumbs up beat Lufthansa for friendliness by a country mile. Zurich airport great transit very efficient, we only have 40 minutes and immigration was so quick. ...

Photos taken it was back to the upper town for a quick look in the Cathedral at Grace Kelly's tomb, then back to the meeting point to meet our driver Richard.
