... Afterward we gained permission to walk through the lobby of the Monte Carlo Casino in its bejeweled opulence. Crystal chandeleirs, marbled pillars, men in ties, women in heels. We're not gamblers, but it was still fun to take a peek at where the top 1% gamble their riches. We would have needed formal attire to go any further, so with a shrug and a giggle, we made our way back to the city street.

Beach and Cannes

... but this beach was terrific. The water was somewhat clean, but not Hawaii clean and a bit cooler. After a few dips in the ocean, we went for lunch at 2pm. We were really surprised at how good the food was. The salads were excellent and Maclean had pasta. I also ordered some mussels, which were the best we'd had so far. ... only a 15 minute walk from our school. And then after my classes I have a massage scheduled! The salon is practically right next to my school. It's perfect because I was just learning the vocabulary of the body so hopefully I can explain the the messeuse which areas to work...and believe me with all this walking, and even running to get to the bus on time, I need this! As of now, I need to do my homework for class tomorrow. Au revoir mes amis :)
