... for some time, the return of the rain signaled that it was time for us to make our way back to Saint-Paul de Vence. An easy trip back, a delicious dinner at the Thai restaurant in town (for the second night in a row - that good!) and it was time for a blog entry and bed. the descent down from the hills above it, having shut down major traffic

Likewise the Tour de France which closed the road from
Menton to Monaco a couple of years ago for a team time trial, which must have

Juan-les-Pins was a popular place for writers during the Jazz Age and still has an annual jazz festival in July. We passed a park where many jazz and some rock artists had performed, but no shows were scheduled while we were there. I've posted the signed handprints in the sidewalk of some I recognized.
